The final steps in editing involve polishing a document to make it the best, most effective communication that you can transmit.
Chapter 15 gives you a look at some of the finer points of editing, specifically, applying the you-attitude, maintaining a consistent point of view, and eliminating stereotypes and biased language.
Doing this will increase the likelihood that your document will convey the intended message and that your reader will respond in the way you want him or her to respond.
