As you prepare your students for class, we would like to remind you of NTC's requirement of creating and submitting your course syllabi.

Please utilize the following items as needed to prepare your syllabi:

❂ Course Syllabus Checklist

❂ Syllabus Template

❂ NTC Grading Information

NTC Class Withdrawal Information

All instructors are required to submit a syllabus for each course you are teaching. These are to be submitted at the start of each semester using the following instructions.

SYLLABUS INFORMATION

This summer and fall, we are starting the transition into a NEW VERSION of the syllabus template.  We hope you like the cleaner, more condensed format!  The attached syllabus checklist is updated to follow this new version. Please be sure to read through the template to see all of the updates. Feel free to utilize this template to build your syllabus.

Remember, all NTC instructors are required to develop and submit a detailed syllabus for each course taught! Each course syllabus should be current and contain all required components listed in the syllabus checklist.  Your syllabi should be submitted to the S drive within the first week of your course. Your supervisor will review your submitted syllabi using the supplied checklist.

Steps:

1. Use the updated syllabus template to create your syllabus (remove the green notes)

2. Name your syllabus file using this pattern:  course number, course name (shortened is fine), SP (spring), SU (summer) or FA (fall), 13, your last name

3. Submit your correctly named syllabus to this location:  S drive/Curriculum /SYLLABI-FACULTY SEMESTER SUBMISSIONS /your division folder/ the correct subfolder for your course program area/

How do I put it on the S drive? On campus, you should be able to drag your file from the desktop or folder and drop it into the S drive location or you should be able to use "SaveAs" to save the file to the correct S drive location.

Off campus, try My Files to access the G, H and S drives.  You can upload your syllabus via the web!

**Don't forget to utilize your Blackboard course shell! This is a great place to post your syllabus for your students to access throughout the course!
