This course provides the opportunity for you to develop the skills, processes and practical experience needed to plan, construct, and deliver effective business presentations. 

How to Get the Most Out of this Learning Experience

  • Be proactive. Proactively learn Prezi and Sky Rocket. Proactively create Skype and Youtube accounts. Proactively explore Blackboard and new presentation software. Proactively connect with classmates and practice using Skype and Youtube.
  • Raise questions, probe, explore, and go after what you need.
  • Be open. Use your imagination, consider new possibilities, and create something new for yourself.
  • Give as well as receive. Give liberally to co-learners and be prepared to receive a great deal from them.
  • Have fun. Plan to thoroughly enjoy this opportunity to learn and to grow in your professional competence and satisfaction.

Online - Learner Role and Responsibilities

In this online course, you will have an opportunity to share your unique ideas and experiences with your student peers and instructor. The form and content of your participation will determine the level of achievement, satisfaction, and enjoyment that you experience.

You matter.  Since you alone are responsible for completing all assigned activities—what you do in this online course does make a difference. Because others are depending on you to keep the course moving, you need to meet deadlines for completing assignments and postings

Communication in this Online Course

Check BlackBoard announcements and your NTC email daily.  If you have additional questions, you can communicate with me via phone or email.  All  e-mail will be sent to your NTC email account.

I will attempt to respond within 48 (business) hours of receipt M-F. Generally, review of student e-mail, assignments, etc. will take place during the week, not weekends. If for some reason, you need more prompt response, please telephone me (you may need to leave a message). Note:

Emailing the Instructor

Subject Line: Identify the course name and the topic and/or presentation name  (Example: Marketing Presentations – Question about LP 1).  If you don’t include the class identification info, your email will be returned.

Composition: Don't use short cut or “text messaging.”  This is a college course. Therefore, emails (and BlackBoard Discussion Forums) must be written in COMPLETE English sentences using proper spelling, grammar and respect.
