Overview

11.1 Lab

Work through the stories in order. Use the acceptance criteria to check each feature, and complete the nested tasks using the specified names, values, and scenarios.

Inspect and compare assembly contents
Acceptance Criteria
Acceptance criteria
  • Both mscorlib.dll and BoothItems.dll are inspected with dotPeek.
  • Obfuscation is applied to copies of the specified assemblies.
  • The copies are inspected again and the observed changes are recorded.
Instructions
1.Use dotPeek to browse the types in the following assemblies.

dotPeek .NET Decompiler and Assembly Browser

A mscorlib.dll

This is the main .NET Framework/CLR dll. There will likely be more than one file with this name on our system, one for each version of the .NET Framework/CLR that is installed on your system. Just pick one to use. Ensure your findings document mentions which version of the .NET Framework/CLR was targeted by your selected mscorlib.dll.

B BoothItems.dll from one of the assemblies from the "OOP C" (OOP2) end code.

Acceptance Criteria
Acceptance criteria
  • The document identifies the assemblies and tools used.
  • It explains the observed differences and includes the requested evidence.
  • The document is submitted to the matching activity.
Instructions
4.Submit your findings in written form as a word document.

Ensure you include some screenshots.

A Submit your findings in written form as a word document.
Completion review
5.Review the feature acceptance criteria
A Confirm the required results

Return to each story and verify its acceptance criteria. Preserve the submission format and destination stated in the activity; a reading, setup guide, lab, video demonstration, and oral final may require different evidence.
