Project Planning - Jira
You have spent time discussing your project, putting together user stories and prioritizing them.
Now let's spend some time with project tracking software!
"Play With Sample"
I have created two sample agile projects. One uses Scrum, while the other uses Kanban. We have not discussed these in detail yet, but I wanted you to see them both.
- Log into the link below with your user name, which is the same as your email without the domain, and your password. I initially have your password set to '123'. I highly recommend changing it.
- Jira Project Management
- Begin working your way around the interface and interacting with the sample project data.
Team Lab
Now that you are somewhat familiar with the Jira interface, you need to set up your class project within Jira.
- Divide your user stories into tasks. You can do this as a group or split them up.
- Nominate someone as the project owner. They will initialize the project and set the initial project settings. We will use the Scrum model.
- Set up your project...sprints, stories, tasks, etc. We want the complete project within Jira.
Deliverable
Since this is a lab and we are working with software cooperatively, you do not have to turn anything in. I will grade you during the lab based upon how well you work together and insert the project into Jira.
