Installing SQL Server

During this lab, we will be installing SQL Server Express 2008 R2. This is a free version of Microsoft SQL Server that you can install and use for small projects. The goal of this lab is to have you experience a 'taste' of a SQL server installation.

You can install the server software either using VMWare in the labs here at NTC or on your own personal machine.

Download the SQL Server Express installation that you will need. There are two versions, 32-bit and 64-bit. Once you download it, simply click on the executable to begin the process.

Take your time through the process,; reading each screen of information to thoroughly understand the installation.

When you have completed the install, simply submit a screen shot displaying the completed process.
