Work with Applications

Generally you should "plant" both x64 bit deployments and x86 deployments into your deployment installation and have the installed operating system determine the deployment type. The steps in this section will guide you through the creation of one application with two deployment types.

Create the Microsoft Office 2013 Application

Please note that there is a folder on the S: drive (s:\NOM1\Nom1Files\Sources\MS_Office_2013_Pro_X64) that contains the x64 bit distribution of Microsoft Office. Since we will be creating an x86 deployment as well, after you copy the above folder into your sources directory, copy it again into the same folder, but name it MS_Office_2013_Pro_x86 so that you can simulate creating the x86 deployment type as well as the x64. Also, download some icons from iconarchive so that you can establish an icon for your deployment; make these available in your software folder.
