User Device Affinity (UDA)

When applications are deployed specific to users and their devices, this is being user-centric. For ViaMonstra, the applications are configured to be installed only on the user devices that are primary devices for the ViaMonstra users. Primary devices are configured in several ways:

• The client agent settings can be configure to automate the process.
• The end user can specify their primary device in the Application Catalog website point.
• The primary device can be manually specified in ConfigMgr.
• When the operating system is installed, the primary user can be defined.
• Import a CSV file with information about users and devices.
• Write a custom script to define the relationship.

Please note: you must install Microsoft Silverlight before beginning this process. User device affinity can also be set within ConfiMgr by the Administrator.
