Overview/Purpose

This learning plan explores the three ways to administer Cisco Unified Communications Express: command line, web-based graphical administration (Cisco CallManager Express), and CCP (Cisco Configuration Professional).

Target Competencies:

  • Explore the management of Cisco IP Phones using Cisco management software.

Learning objectives:

  • Administer Cisco Unified Communications Express from the command line.
  • Administer Cisco Unified Communications Express from the Cisco CallManager Express (CME).
  • Administer Cisco Unified Communications Express from Cisco Configuration Professional (CCP).

  2. READ Chapter 4: Introduction to CUCME Administration from CCNA Voice lab manual.
  3. COMPLETE lab assignment: Configuring the CUCME Router (PAT 4-1: Appendix D-1)
  4. COMPLETE lab assignment: Exploring the Command-Line Interface and Cisco Configuration Professional (PAT 4-2: Book Lab 4-1)
  5. COMPLETE lab assignment: Integrated HTML GUI (PAT 4-3: Book Lab 4-2)
