LP1 Custom Lab Assignment 1-1: Hardware Discovery

Overview:  You will soon venture into the realm of VoIP using the supplied hardware in the MDF (Main Distribution Facility).   This assignment simply requires that you connect to your router to view the amount of DSP processors that your router is equipped with.  Your router will be assigned to you in class.   Follow the instructions below.

1. Connect your PC to the console port of your router.
2. Configure a basic setup to enable you to perform administrative functions on your router.
3. View the hardware configuration of the router and identify how many DSPs are installed.  
4. Screen capture this display and save the screen capture image as dsp.jpg on your local hard drive.
5. Submit dsp.jpg to this assignment link by the specified due date.
6. Clear your router and power it down.
7. Place your cables back in the container whence they came.
